I’ve been meaning to update this page for a while now, as the blog is no longer (just) about baby led weaning recipes. Instead, it’s grown into more of a sort of diary of what I cook for the family, plus any food-related stuff I do along the way (like the Sourdough experiment!).
I’m still a SAHM though, and my son is still gorgeous
And all the stuff I wrote below about organic and local produce is just as, if not more, relevant now.
What has also become rather important is the menu planning which I do each week. It’s helped save quite a bit of money, loads of time, and has really taken the stress out of preparing the evening meal!

original “About” text:
Hello there!
I am the SAHM of a gorgeous one-year-old son. When he was around 5 months, I came across the term Baby Led Weaning and decided to find out more. The blog www.babyledweaning.com run by BLW-guru Aitch proved invaluable. Even better was when the blog spawned the excellent BLW forum at www.babyledweaning.co.uk where mums can exchange tips and advice on all aspects of BLW.
Thanks to BLW, my son eats everything, with such enthusiasm that it is a pleasure to cook for him.
We eat together as a family every evening and always have done – one of the advantages of BLW is not just what the baby eats, but that the baby feeds itself, which makes mealtimes easy-peasy.
This blog is where I’m going to be keeping all the BLW recipes I’ve tried with my ds.
I buy organic products wherever possible, and try to use as much local and in-season produce as I can. This is partly because I do think it’s better for you, but also because I believe it is our responsibility to look at the way we eat and how it effects our environment. It’s something I feel strongly about.
All of the recipes are suitable for the whole family to eat. Adjust quantities to suit the number of people eating (and how hungry you are!).
The categories should help you find the type of meal you’re looking for, whereas tags are used for individual (main) ingredients.
And finally – ein guten Appetit!
